I didn't have a practice for a year, which was a huge change, and during that time, I didn't have a studio. I had to be present with her pretty much most of the time, so it didn't work for me to rent a space. So I started to think about "how can I change my practice, how can I find a compromise between our life circumstances and things that I love to do"? So I started to do photographs and do videos and in the younger years of my practice, I used to do a lot of prints and zines and work with collage, so I started to think of how that can be part of my practice since it's way more approachable. I can just work from my home, from our living room. I can read -- reading, that was a big part, I started to do reading at home, a lot of theory that I would previously do in the studio as part of my process. Now I started to do that at home, and I can when she's playing or when she's napping, during those moments. It made me prioritize my practice so so much because I just don't have much time now, so all of the free time that I have is so precious, so I try to really think of my time being here [in the studio] as radical self-care
